The Chorus Concert

Samantha had her first chorus concert tonight. She looked so cute with her Santa hat on.She is behind the girl that is front and center. LOL. I kept trying to get her to move over during the songs. She was the only face that was blocked from where I was sitting. LOL go figure.....that's the Vinal Luck.( yes I have a name for it.)Merry Christmas!!!!

The Six Year Old

Tristan turned 6 this week. I can't believe my baby boy is 6! It sure is hard watching them grow up. we had planned to have a pool party for him on the actual day of his birthday. Unfortunately we had two days of 65 and rain. (go figure, Arizona has sun 363 days a year and the one day we actually plan to swim, its cold and rainy.)Anyway we did it a week later and the kids all had a blast. This was the first year Tristan requested an all boy party. He said it was fine that Samantha was there cause she is his sister.LOL. She was grateful to be invited. I love this picture I took of all the kids in the pool. You get a pretty good idea of Tristan's personality.

Sea World

While we were in San Diego, we spent a day at sea world. What a cool place. It's been about 20 years since I have been there.(did I just actually say that?)LOL. We sat in the 3rd row for the Shamu show and got totally drenched, we all got to touch a dolphin, and we watched some lady fall into the dolphin tank. (it was all part of the show but it was really neat. LOL)

San Diego

We just got back from a little mini vacation to San Diego with my friend Christy and two of her kids. We had so much fun at the beach. It was about 65 in the sun and the water was about the same temp so the kids mostly played in the sand. They buried themselves and built sand castles.

Kindergarten Graduation

Tristan graduated from kindergarten yesterday. They walked into the room wearing graduation caps while their teacher Mrs. Hughes sang the graduation march. It was so cute, all those beaming 5 and 6 year old's. Once they were all seated, a few kids had the opportunity to show of the skills they learned this year. skip counting, reading, writing and singing. Tristan was in a small group singing the song "123" by Tim Mcgraw. Tristan is seen with Reagan, his first kindergarten girl friend. They sat next to each other on the first day of school.

The Viola

Samantha started playing the viola this school year (fourth grade). Her orchestra teacher tells us that she is very talented (we already knew that) . She performed three times at school and did great. At the most recent concert this month, the forth grade beginners class was so much better than the older kids. They all played the theme from Phantom of the Opera, and the only part you could hear was the forth graders. Other than that the song was unrecognizable. LOL She also played at Tristan's student of the month in april. I don't know how it worked out this way but they played the theme to Star Wars. Perfect for my little Jedi. LOL Samantha's friend Hannah has been with her since the 1st grade. She is a great friend and always lifts Sam up when she is feeling insecure. Thanks Hannah!

The Two Wheeler

This winter Tristan learned how to ride a two wheeler. I wish i could take the credit but it actually goes to boy named Carter who is the same age as Tristan. LOL. We were at his house for dinner one night and he started riding his bike in the street. Tristan decided to try it too and off he went with the help of Chris holding the bike to start. It took him a few days to get the starting on his own thing down, but all in all he pretty much did it himself. We are so proud. LOL

The Quads

So now we all have our very own quads. LOL The kids have so much fun. Samantha is slow and cautious, and Tristan is a reckless speed demon . LOL Gotta love them boys...

Drumming Fools

For both Chris and Tristan's birthday's last year my mom got them each a drum set. For a while we had them in the same room so they could jam together. This is one of their sessions.
